4-day power outage disrupts Navotas police operations

MANILA, Philippines - A power outage for the last four days has disrupted the day-to-day operations of the Navotas City police headquarters in northern Metro Manila. Radio dzBB's Bernie Morales reported Friday morning that even inmates at the police station were forced to sleep in the morning as mosquitoes kept them awake at night. Police officers inside the station complained that they could not properly process complaints because their computer and the lights at the station had been out of commission. Some of them voiced fears of a fire breaking out especially at night, as they had to use candles. The police personnel likewise voiced concerns some of the inmates may fall ill because the police station's water supply had also stopped. - GMANews.TV
