Cloudy skies, rains expected over parts of PH amid 3 weather systems
Multiple weather systems are causing cloudy conditions over several parts of the country, weather service PAGASA said Friday.
In its daily weather forecast bulletin on Friday afternoon, PAGASA said Visayas, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Aurora are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
The Northeast Monsoon or the Amihan, meanwhile, will cause cloudy skies with rain over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.
Finally, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga and Davao Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
Flash floods or landslides may occur in some affected areas as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough coastal waters may be felt over Northern Luzon.
Moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters may be observed in Visayas and the eastern section of Central Luzon, while the rest of the country will be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
Temperatures in the country will range from a minimum of 24.3 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 29.8 degrees Celsius over the next 24-hour period.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:23 a.m. Saturday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
