(As a candidate for senator in May, I wholeheartedly accept this agenda and, should I win, I will fight for it in the Senate.)

Matula, who is the president of the Federation of Free Workers, accepted the women's group's of their eight-point electoral agenda, which also calls for quality public services and social protection for all; an end to corruption; recognition of care work; stronger measures to support unionism and climate justice; and just transition with women workers’ participation.

Meanwhile in Zamboanga City, labor leaders Leody de Guzman and Luke Espiritu expressed opposition to large-scale fishing and said these companies should be banned within 15 kilometers from the shore.

Independent senatorial candidates Ariel Querubin and Bonifacio Bosita spoke before motorists at a road safety awareness seminar organized by the Road Safety Advocates of the Philippines (RSAP).
