The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has declared Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) as the dominant majority party and the Nacionalista Party as the dominant minority party for Eleksyon 2025.

The political groups were ranked in accordance to their history, the number of incumbent elective officials, as well as their organized chapters in cities, municipalities, and provinces in the country.

“On the basis of the foregoing considerations, the dominant majority party and the dominant minority party, and the accredited majority political parties for the May 12, 2025 national and local elections (NLE) are: Dominant majority party — Lakas-CMD; Dominant minority party — Nacionalista Party,” the resolution read.

(Other parties may still deploy watchers but not everyone will be accommodated. The dominant majority party and dominant minority party will also be prioritized in deploying watcher, and observers in the canvassing areas.)
