Marcos on road rage incidents: Discipline, patience needed
Following the recent road rage incidents, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has called on motorists to remain disciplined while on the road and not resort to violence when there are unpleasant encounters.
In a vlog posted Monday, Marcos reacted to a series of road rage incidents that have been reported, reminding motorists that owning a driver's license is considered a privilege, and not a right.
‘Wag maging kamote, masyado nang madami ‘yan,” the President said.
(All of us have to obey traffic laws. We need discipline to be responsible on the streets. Don't be a reckless driver, many people are already like that.)
(Aside from driving properly, motorists also need to be patient and control their behaviors while behind the wheel.)
Marcos also encouraged bystanders to help in allaying road rage instead of just taking videos of the incident.
He pointed out that everything can be addressed through proper and calm discussions with one another.
(We and our families may suffer possible consequences if we let anger take over us even for just a moment.)
The President’s remarks on his vlog came as several road rage incidents transpired recently, including that in Antipolo which resulted in the death of one person and injury of several others.
