President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos on Thursday celebrated their anniversary at the beach in Ilocos Norte.

The First Lady posted on her social media photos of her with the President, and their two sons, Simon and Vincent, having a traditional Filipino boodle fight.

“Boodling our hearts out on our anniversary day,” the First Lady wrote on her Facebook account.

According to the post, the photo was taken at Suba Beach in Ilocos Norte on April 17.

On Instagram, the First Lady wrote a more affectionate caption on the same photo.

“When Bing Crosby first sang ‘the best things in life are free,’ he probably wasn’t thinking about a boodle meal–although he might’ve been onto something,” the First Lady wrote.

“If our anniversary lunch says anything, it’s that nothing compares to the joy of sharing time (and food) with the people we love most!” she added.

The First Couple is celebrating their 32nd anniversary. They were married in Italy on April 17, 1993.

They were blessed with three sons, Sandro, Simon, and Vinny.

Sandro is a congressman representing the first district of Ilocos Norte.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the President greeted his wife on their anniversary.

“Tomorrow is our 32nd anniversary. I’m still mystified how my wife, Liza, has managed to put up with me for so long without going insane,” the President wrote.

“Thank you for your love, patience, and strength. I love you, dear,” he ended. –NB, GMA Integrated News
