Alyansa 'deeply grateful' for Lakas-CMD's support

Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign manager and Navotas City Representative Toby Tiangco expressed gratitude to Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) for reiterating its commitment to support their senatorial slate for Eleksyon 2025.

In a statement, Tiangco thanked Speaker Martin Romualdez, president of Lakas-CMD, for mobilizing its local leaders and members, including governors and lawmakers, to boost the candidacies of the administration bets.

“We are deeply grateful to Speaker Romualdez and the entire Lakas-CMD for their trust and commitment,” Tiangco said.

“Their support gives our campaign the strength and organization needed to reach more voters across the country,” he added.

Tiangco also emphasized the need to elect senatorial candidates whose visions are in line with the goals of the administration.

“With Lakas-CMD’s help, we are confident that the people will elect leaders who will work with the administration to deliver real progress,” he said.

During the Lakas-CMD breakfast meeting held at Imelda Hall, Aguado Residence, in Malacañang on Tuesday, Romualdez called on his party members to vote for all 11 Senate bets of the administration slate Alyansa sa Bagong Pilipinas in the May 2025 polls.

“Please lang, please. [Vote] straight Alyansa. Diinan natin lahat sila, walang iwanan dito. Ito ang gusto ng ating Mahal na Pangulo. They are our true partners. Subok na subok sila. I know each and every one of them have proven themselves,” Romualdez said during the gathering.

The Alyansa ticket includes former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Senator Pia Cayetano, former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Senator Lito Lapid, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senate Majority Leader Francis “Tol” Tolentino, ACT-CIS Representative and former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

In a separate statement, reelectionist Senator Lito Lapid also thanked Lakas-CMD for its full support for the administration ticket.

“Lubos akong nagpapasalamat sa Lakas-CMD sa tulong na ibinibigay nila sa amin at makakaasa sila na kasama nila kami para patuloy na maisulong ang mga serbisyo, programa at mga panukala para sa kapakanan ng ating bansa,” Lapid said.
