Palace: Marcos had 'spiritual' session with Cabinet execs

Malacañang on Monday confirmed that President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. had a spiritual session with Cabinet officials over the weekend to guide them in their duties as public servants.

The spiritual session, with Fr. Tito Caluag, took place on Saturday, according to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro.

''Maganda po kasi nagkakaroon din po ng mga pagsasama-sama ni Pangulo at ng kanyang mga Cabinet secretaries. Opo, nagpatawag po noong Sabado at of course nabigyan sila ng spiritual guidelines para sa kanilang pagtratrabaho, hindi lang para pang—bilang isang public servant kung ‘di para bilang isang indibidwal,'' Castro said.

(It's good because the President had time with his Cabinet secretaries. Last Saturday, they were summoned and were given spiritual guidelines in line with their work as public servants and as individuals.)

''At hindi makakalimutan ni Secretary Sonny Angara, ang sinabi ng Pangulo, ang I quote ‘Walang tulong o pabor ang masyadong maliit para sa publiko at para sa isang kalihim ng departamento, God is in the details,' end quote. So, maganda po nangyari pong ito dahil unang-una po ay very light moment po ang nangyayari at may paggagabay po,'' she added.

(Secretary Sonny Angara did not forget the statement of the President that there's no little help for the public and for the departments. It's good that this happened, it's a light moment for them.)

Education Secretary Sonny Angara posted some photos of the said spiritual session with the President.

He said they were summoned by Marcos for a spiritual and planning session.
