'SELFISH'

Palace to VP Sara: 'Huwag maging asal bata'

Castro asked Duterte not to be childish after she said that she will not share her idea of how to make P20 per kilo rice feasible.

Malacañang on Tuesday called on Vice President Sara Duterte "not to be childish" after she said that she will "not share" her idea of how to make P20 per kilo rice feasible.

Claire Castro during a press briefing.

(Let's remember, serving the public is not a game. The government is not a playground, the Vice President shouldn't be childish.)

Castro also slammed Duterte for being "selfish."

(In admitting that she won't share what she knows because she doesn't want to help the President, it only shows that she is selfish.)

(Let's remember that if we know something that can benefit the public, it must be done immediately.)

GMA News Online has reached out to Duterte's camp but she has yet to reply as of posting time.

In the last week of April, the government's P20 per kilo rice was sold in Visayas but was halted amid the ayuda ban for Eleksyon 2025.

Duterte claimed that program was an election promise meant to boost the chances of the Marcos administration's senatorial candidates in the midterm polls. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
