Delays hit some polling precincts on Eleksyon 2025
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday reported delays in some polling centers for election 2025.
According to PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, only 34,494 or 91.92% of polling centers are casting ballots as the regular voting hours started at 7:09 a.m.
The delays in some polling centers were due to technical glitches and power interruptions, according to Fajardo.
These delays were reported in Central Luzon, Northern Mindanao, Cordillera Administrative Region, Davao Region, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Fajardo in an update said that the casting of votes in Pantabangan National High School in Nueva Ecija has resumed.
The early voting hours for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women were set from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Meanwhile, the regular voting hours were set from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. —VAL/AOL, GMA Integrated News
