Precinct inquiries top Comelec Voter Care calls
Inquiries about voting precincts topped the calls and messages received by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Voter Care Center, the voter assistance hotline of the poll body for the 2025 election.
Based on the data provided by the Comelec Voter Care Center, 430 inquiries on precinct inquiry were made from May 9 to May 12.
Other concerns reached 107, while voters' inquiries as to why their names were not on the list reached 86.
Seventy-two callers asked about voting concerns, while 51 reported vote-buying in their areas.
There were 18 callers who reported malfunction of the automated counting machines.
There were also 15 reports made on prohibited campaigning, while nine called in disruption of the peace and order situation.
One inquiry was made on counting/canvassing of voters, while one reported violation of election ban.
The Comelec Voter Care Center attended 790 inquiries in total, with the highest number reaching 278 on election day, May 12.
Comelec Chairman George Garcia earlier said that around 200 ACMs that malfunctioned on election day were replaced with new ACMs.
