Palace: Marcos retains Remulla brods, Gibo as secretaries
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin bared that the courtesy resignations of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin ''Boying'' Remulla, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla, and Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. were not accepted by President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr.
This was announced by Bersamin during a Palace press briefing.
''Yeah, yeah. Definitely declined na 'yan,'' he said.
Asked about the courtesy resignation of National Security Adviser Eduardo Año, Bersamin said, ''That resignation letter was not coursed through me. That's a personal thing, kung ayaw ni Presidente tanggapin, it's up to him.''
Bersamin said the administration is grateful for the service of those who are stepping down.
''A smooth transition is being implemented to ensure continuity and stability in their respective institutions,'' he said.
He stressed that President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr.'s call for courtesy resignations was not a purge but his commitment to a government that works fast, delivers results and meets the expectations of the Filipino people.
''As the President has said, he will not hesitate to make the necessary changes to keep the government moving forward,'' Bersamin said. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
