Marcos calls for peaceful, diplomatic resolution after US struck Iran
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. is calling for a peaceful and diplomatic resolution following the attacks of the United States on three nuclear sites in Iran, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro said Monday.
At a press briefing, Castro also said the President wants to assure all Filipinos that the Philippine government is ready for any eventuality amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
''Ramdam po ng Pangulo, ramdam po ng gobyerno ang alalahanin ng mga leaders ng iba't-ibang bansa dahil sa umiinit na tensyon sa rehiyon,'' Castro said.
(The President feels, the government feels the concern of world leaders on the increasing tension in the region.)
''Ang panawagan din po ng Pangulo ay magkaroon po ng mapayapang paguusap at diplomasya para maibsan ang lumalalang hindi pagkakasundo,'' she added.

Marcos is aiming for peace in order to have a stable global community, according to Castro.
''Unang-una, ang gusto iparating ng Pangulo, handa po tayo sa anumang mangyayari at lahat po ng pangangailangan ng taumbayan ay tutugunan po ng pamahalaan. At huwag po silang mag-alala dahil ang gobyerno po ngayon ay nagtatrabaho para sa ating lahat,'' she said.

President Donald Trump announced over the weekend that the US forces struck Iran’s three main nuclear sites amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The Philippines has called for de-escalation of tensions and called on concerned parties to pursue diplomacy after the US attacks against Iran.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the country, which has a huge presence of workers in the Middle East, is "greatly concerned" over the developments in the region "in these last few hours."
