ICC Prosecutor submits 12th batch of evidence in Duterte case

The International Criminal Court (ICC) Office of the Prosecutor has submitted its 12th batch of evidence against former President Rodrigo Duterte for his crimes against humanity case.

In a four-page document dated July 4, the prosecution submitted 1,253 items organized into 10 packages to the ICC Pre-Trial Chamber 1.

The packages were labeled as contextual evidence, murder under the Davao Death Squad during Duterte’s mayoral period, murder under barangay clearance operations during his presidency, and high-value target murders during presidency, among others.

Duterte is under the custody of the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands to face charges for his crimes against humanity case over the drug war.

His confirmation of charges will take place on September 23, 2025.

Meanwhile, Duterte’s camp has asked that the former leader be released to a country that has indicated a willingness to take him. The name of the country was redacted from the copy of the urgent request for interim release posted on the ICC's website.
