Taal Lake ops for missing sabungeros suspended due to bad weather

Search and retrieval operation for the missing sabungeros at the Taal Lake was again suspended on Monday due to inclement weather, according to Vonne Aquino’s report on Balitanghali.

Authorities suspended the operation on Friday last week, but resumed the search over the weekend.

The operation stemmed from information given by whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan that more than 100 sabungeros were abducted, killed, and then dumped at Taal Lake.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla has said that the government is looking into up to 30 individuals who may be connected to the missing sabungeros case.

Meanwhile, Malacañang has announced the suspension of classes and work in government offices in the National Capital Region, Cavite, Rizal, Batangas, Laguna, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales, and Bataan at 1 p.m. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
