VP Sara Duterte lauds INC leadership on 111th anniversary

Vice President Sara Duterte praised the leadership of the Iglesia ni Cristo as she greeted the religious group on its 111th anniversary on Sunday.

“Nais kong ipaabot ang aking pagbati at pasasalamat kay Ka Eduardo V. Manalo sa kanyang kahanga-hangang pamumuno at sa kadalisayan ng kanyang puso sa pagsusulong ng pagkakaisa, pagkakaunawaan, at pananampalataya sa gitna ng iba’t ibang prinsipyo at idolohiya sa lipunan,” she said in a message shared on social media.

(I would like to extend my congratulations and gratitude to Brother Eduardo V. Manalo for his wonderful leadership and the purity of his heart in promoting unity, understanding, and faith amidst different principles and ideologies in society.)\

Manalo is the current Executive Minister of the INC.

Duterte also took the opportunity to thank the religious group for its efforts towards improving the country.

“Maraming salamat sa ating mga kapatid sa katatagan ng inyong paniniwala sa Diyos at pagmamahal sa ating bansa. Maraming salamat at lagi ninyong ipinagdarasal ang kaayusan, kapayapaan, at kapakanan ng Pilipinas,” she said.

She also encouraged the INC members to continue to promote their faith by incorporating the word of God in their lives. 

“Patuloy ninyong isabuhay ang pagmamahal at kadakilaan ng Diyos na syang nagbibigay lakas sa atin upang manindigan para sa katotohanan at isulong ang pamumuhay na naaayon sa kanyang banal na salita,” her message read.
