GSIS to gov’t agencies: Report assets damaged by storms

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Monday asked all government agencies with insured assets and properties to immediately report any damage caused by tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong.

In a statement, the pension fund and state assets urged agencies to prepare their policy details and reach out to the nearest GSIS branch or extension office with the full list of contact details found on its website.

GSIS said it provides coverage for all government-owned assets, including buildings, vehicles, equipment, and other properties.

The pension fund said it offers a range of non-life insurance products for institutions, such as fire, motor vehicle, engineering, and accident insurance, as well as optional protection plans for individual members, pensioners, and their families.

GSIS added it also issues compulsory third-party liability (CTPL) insurance and covers government-linked projects or ventures where public funds or interests are involved.

“We are ready to help agencies recover and get back on track. Your safety and protection remain our priority,” said GSIS officer-in-charge Juliet Bautista. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
