Julie “Dondon” Patidongan, the whistleblower in the case of the missing sabungeros, and his brother, Elakim, visited the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Wednesday.
Patidongan, however, declined to divulge the reason for his visit.
“Okay na ‘yan. No comment na ako, na i-file na lahat,” Patidongan said in an ambush interview when asked about the reason for the visit.
(That’s okay. I don’t have any comments, everything has been filed already.)
This comes a week after families of missing sabungeros filed a complaint with the Justice Department against businessman Atong Ang, the alleged mastermind identified by Patidongan.
Also included in the complaint were actress Gretchen Barreto and former National Capital Region Police Office chief retired Police General Jonnel Estomo, according to some complainants.
Meanwhile, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla previously confirmed that the affidavits of Patidongan and his siblings are already included in the complaint.
Ang, Barretto, and Estomo have denied the allegations against them.
Patidongan previously claimed that Ang was the mastermind behind the abduction of the sabungeros who were reported missing from 2021 to 2022. He also told authorities that more than 100 sabungeros were abducted, killed, and then dumped at Taal Lake. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
