Marcos: We don't work according to surveys
President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. said his administration does not perform based on surveys.
In an interview with GMA Integrated News, the President was asked if the administration's efforts to provide immediate relief to Filipinos was its way to win back the public's trust to the government.
''Hindi ganoon ang approach namin. We don’t work according to surveys, not really,'' Marcos said. ''What we do is – is there… ‘Pag may nagrereklamo sinasabi, mahaba ang pila sa PhilHealth, ano ang puwede nating gawin para mas maginhawa?''
(That's not our approach. We don't work according to surveys, not really. What we do is -- is there... if there are complaints they will say there's a long line in PhilHealth, so what can we do to ease this?)
Marcos emphasized that what they are doing is to make things easier for the public.
'''Yung mga seniors na – eh kailangan tulungan natin. O sige, bigyan natin ng diskuwento doon sa mga tren. O tapos ‘yung commuters kasi araw-araw ‘yan eh,'' Marcos said.
(We need to help the senior citizens, so yes let's give them discounts. Even the commuters.)
''So, anything that we can do to make things easier. Some – kahit na – kahit na hindi discount, ‘yung digitalization nga sa PhilHealth para hindi ora-oradang nakapila ang tao para makapag-claim lamang,'' he added.
(So, anything that we can do to make things easier. Some, even not discounts, the digitalization of PhilHealth so that the public will no longer fall in line just to get their claims.)
Marcos also said his presence is importance in the government's relief efforts to ''highlight whatever that is.''
''Like today, we started the estero – the Bayanihan Estero Program, which is cleaning up the esteros. Ngayon na nandoon ako, eh siyempre lalabas sa news ‘yan, lalabas sa diyaryo, alam ng tao na may ganoon. So, they can volunteer. They can help in any way that they can. That kind of thing,'' Marcos said.

Based on the Tugon ng Masa survey conducted from July 12 to 17, OCTA Research said Marcos received a 64% trust rating, a four-percentage-point increase from his previous one.
His performance rating also got a three-point increase, climbing up to 62% within the survey’s margin of error.
Malacañang had welcomed the boost in the trust and performance ratings of the President, saying that the public is seeing that Marcos is working for the country. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
