AFP, PNP get high trust rating in latest OCTA survey
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) maintained a "strong public confidence," according to the latest OCTA research survey.
The survey showed 81% trust ratings and an 82% performance rating for the AFP. The numbers were a major boost from April 2025’s 65% for both trust and performance ratings.

Meanwhile, the PNP got 71% trust ratings and 73% performance ratings. The latest figures are also a big jump from April 2025’s 62% trust and performance ratings.
Both agencies also received low levels of distrust and dissatisfaction, with only a 2% distrust rating and 3% dissatisfaction rate for AFP and a 6% distrust and 7% dissatisfaction rate for PNP.

Data from the survey was gathered through face-to-face interviews of 1,200 individuals nationwide from July 12 to 17, 2025.
The survey had a ±3% margin of error at a 95% confidence level.
In a statement, the AFP spokesperson Colonel Francel Margareth Padilla said the survey results showed the collective trust of the Filipino people, which continues to guide and inspire the military.
“Their trust is both a validation of our steadfast commitment and a call to remain vigilant, disciplined, and dedicated in every domain where we are needed—whether defending our territory, responding to disasters, assisting in development, or confronting emerging challenges in cyberspace,” Padilla said.
“To the Filipino people—maraming salamat po. We draw strength from your trust. You are our mission. You are the reason we serve,” she added. —with reports from Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
