Bus conductor cut in half after getting hit by car, truck in Cavite

The body of a bus conductor was cut in half after he was hit by a car and then a truck on Sunday morning in General Trias, Cavite.

According to Oscar Oida’s report in “24 Oras” on Monday, the bus driver and conductor were about to park in the garage when the latter was hit by a car.

“Sakto kasi yung pagbaba niya, papasok ako sa garahe, biglang may sumulpot na kotse. Mabilis yung takbo,” bus driver Allan Relatado said.

(We were going into the garage, and just as he was going down, a speeding car came and hit him.)

The victim was thrown off onto the other lane and was then run over by a dump truck.

“Mabuti na lang may police mobile na nakabuntot sa amin, kaya pinahabol ko yung nakabangga, yung kotse,” Relatado said.

(Good thing there was a police car trailing us. I told them to chase the car that hit him.)

The drivers of both the car and the dump truck were arrested. Authorities found that the car driver was intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol based on his medical exam results, the report added.

Both suspects also underwent inquest proceedings after being charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
