Henry Alcantara, Brice Hernandez face raps over use of fake driver's license
The Department of Transportation and the Land Transportation Office on Tuesday, formally filed a complaint against dismissed Department of Public Works and Highways-Bulacan First District Engineer Henry Alcantara and Assistant District Engineer Brice Hernandez.
The complaint was for alleged violation of Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code or the falsification of documents in connection with Alcantara and Hernandez’s earlier admission that they used fake licenses to enter casinos.
(If you recall in the Senate hearing, even if Henry Alcantara mentioned that the license was given by the [casino], they didn’t deny that they used this license and that is a crime. That is why the DOTr and the LTO will not let anyone, whether it is an official or a private individual, violate the license of the DOTr and LTO. They will face the law.)
He added that cases may also be filed against the other “BGC Boys” and alleged supplier of the fake IDs in the coming days.
So kailangan din namin silang imbestigahan… The investigation is ongoing now at inuna lang po namin sila District Engineer Alcantara and former Assistant District Engineer Brice Hernandez,” Lopez added.
(From our analysis, this is a fake license. We need to investigate this… The investigation is ongoing now, and we just filed cases against District Engineer Alcantara and former Assistant District Engineer Brice Hernandez first.)
Should Alcantara and Hernandez be found guilty, the two may face a maximum of six years imprisonment and a P1 million penalty fine. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/AOL, GMA Integrated News
