Marcos: Gov’t remains focused on serving Filipinos truthfully
SAN FERNANDO CITY - President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday assured Filipinos that the administration remains focused on serving the public "truthfully" despite the challenges being faced by the country.
"Sa kabila ng mga hamon na kinakaharap ng bansa, nananatiling nakatuon ang pamahalaan sa aming mandato at tungkulin na maglingkod nang tapat,” Marcos said as he led the distribution of land titles and financial assistance to farm workers in Pampanga.
(Despite the challenges that the country is facing, the government remains focused on our mandate and duty to truthfully serve the public.)
“Makakaasa kayo na inaayos natin at itinutuwid ang mga prosesong nagpapabagal at nakakaabala sa ating pag-unlad,” he added.
(I assure you that we are fixing the processes that delay our country’s progress.)
There has been a public outrage against corruption and irregularities in infrastructure projects, particularly the flood control programs.
Through Marcos’ Executive Order No. 94, an Independent Commission for Infrastructure was created to deeply investigate these projects.
Some lawmakers have since been linked to the anomalies, with most of them denying the accusations.
Marcos, meanwhile, said the distribution of assistance was part of the administration’s measures to reduce poverty, improve land tenure, and promote the country’s economy.
Marcos said the Department of Environment and Natural Resources would provide seedlings for the beneficiaries, which will help them in their local produce.
“Gawin ninyong produktibo ang inyong lupain. Gamitin ito nang tama para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino, para sa ating mga komunidad, at para sa kinabukasan ng ating minamahal na Pilipinas,” Marcos said.
(Make your lands productive. Use this properly for every Filipino family, for your community, and for the welfare of the country.)
Under the Handog Titulo Program, the DENR grants land ownership rights to qualified beneficiaries by issuing patents or titles to public lands for residential or agricultural use.
Marcos said the DENR has also turned over deeds of sale to 65 beneficiaries from four barangays in Taguig City.
In another event in Guagua, Marcos led the inauguration of the Rice Processing System (RPS) II and the turnover of farm machinery to farmers' cooperatives and associations in Barangay Pulungmasle.
The Rice Processing System II includes:
- One state-of-the-art multi-stage rice mill with a capacity of 2-3 tons per hour, featuring a pre-cleaner, de-stoner, huller, mist polisher, length grader, color sorter, blending tank, automatic packing machine for milled rice, rice hull bin, dust collection system, air-conditioned control room. This system is valued at P53.602 million.
- Two recirculating dryers, each with a 12-ton per batch drying capacity, made of stainless steel and equipped with two heating systems, a generator set, tools, and other accessories. These dryers are valued at P8.12 million.
