OVP to send aid to Cebu after tragic earthquake
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Wednesday extended condolences to the families of the fatalities following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that hit Bogo City, Cebu on Tuesday evening.
In a statement, the OVP said that it will provide assistance to residents through its satellite offices located in Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and Panay and Negros Islands.
“Ipinapaabot namin ang aming mga dasal para sa kapayapaan ng mga pumanaw, kagalingan ng mga nasugatan, at mabilis na pagbangon ng mga komunidad na apektado ng trahedya,” the OVP said.
(We pray for the peace of those who died, healing of the injured, and the speedy recovery of the communities affected by the tragedy.)
“Dasal ng OVP na mabigyan kayo ng lakas ng loob, at tibay ng pananampalataya, at pag-asa sa pagharap ng hamon na ito,” it added.

The reported death toll due to the disastrous earthquake in Cebu has so far increased to 60, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Wednesday.
