Marcos on 46% satisfaction rating: We just have to keep working

''We just have to keep working.''

This was the response of President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. when asked about the recent survey, showing that 46% of Filipinos were satisfied with his performance.

''I don't look so much... it's of course nice to know... I didn't know about that, now that you tell me, of course I'm glad it's that way, we just have to keep working, wala namang... whatever is happening,'' Marcos told reporters in Masbate.

''Kahit na anong nangyayari, kahit may bagyo, kahit na may eskandalo, kahit may gulo, ang taong bayan ay umaasa sa pamahalaan na tuloy ang serbisyo, tuloy ang trabaho ng pamahalaan at every level, at the national level, at the local level na tuloy-tuloy lang,'' he added. 

Marcos said that public servants like him should be seen working and not politicking.

''Kaming mga public servant, kaming mga hinalal ng taong-bayan ay dapat nakikita, na hindi naglalaro, kung ano-anong ginagawa, namumulitika, whatever,'' Marcos said.

The Social Weather Stations said that the +10 net satisfaction rating of Marcos in June was a 20-point rise from the -10 rating (classified by SWS as poor) in April. 

His net satisfaction ratings in the past were very good +32 in September 2024 and neutral +1 in February 2025, the survey showed.

The President's net satisfaction rating registered highest in Balance Luzon at good +28. Metro Manila followed at neutral +1, Visayas at neutral -2, and Mindanao at neutral -9. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
