DOH raises Code White alert due to Typhoon Paolo
The Department of Health (DOH) said on Friday that it has raised Code White alert due to Typhoon Paolo.
A “Code White” alert refers to the preparedness with medicine, medical equipment, and emergency response teams.
“A-uno pa lang ng Oktubre, itinaas na ng DOH Central Office ang Code White alert bunsod ng tinatayang landfall ng bagyong Paolo ngayong araw, Biyernes, October 3,” the advisory read.
(The Department of Health (DOH) Central Office raised a Code White Alert as early as October 1st in anticipation of Typhoon Paolo's expected landfall today, Friday, October 3.)
“Sa ilalim ng Code White Alert, nakahanda na sa DOH Operations Center ang mga: Gamot, Medical equipment, Health Emergency Response Teams para sa mga rehiyon na tinatayang maapektuhan ng bagyo.”
(Under the Code White Alert, the DOH Operations Center has already prepared the following: Medicines, Medical equipment, and Health Emergency Response Teams for the regions expected to be affected by the typhoon.)
Further, DOH said that the National Emergency Hotline 911 and the local emergency hotlines are on standby.
