Scores hurt in car-jeep collision in QC - report
MANILA, Philippines - A still undetermined number of people were hurt following a collision between a passenger jeep and a subcompact sedan in Quezon City on Tuesday morning. A radio report said a Toyota Vios (plate number ZLN-134) vehicle was plying Congressional Avenue corner Visayas Avenue about 8 a.m. when it was rammed by a fully loaded passenger jeep (NYJ-119). The jeep reportedly rolled over several times, hurting the passengers inside. The nose of the sedan was smashed while the jeep sustained damages on its left side. Witnesses quoted by the report said that the jeep was traveling at high speed before the collision happened. The injured commuters and the jeep driver were all taken out of the damaged vehicle and rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital. However, their personal belongings were left unattended inside the jeep. The vehicular incident has already snarled traffic in both lanes of the road.
