UST grad tops October 2025 physicians licensure examination

A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas took the top score in the physicians licensure examination, given earlier this month.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, 4,570 out of 5,900 test takers passed the licensure exam for physicians, given by the Board of Medicine at test centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Kharam Baricawa Molbog of UST achieved the highest score of 91.17%, while the top performing school with at least 100 examinees is the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, with 104 of its 105 test takers passing for a 99.05% success rate.

The top performing school with 50 to 99 test takers is the Cebu Institute of Medicine, with all 78 of its examinees passing.

"The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending final determination of his/her liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations; and two (2) examinees were withheld pending submission of the required documents," the PRC also said.
