DOJ designates Raphael Martinez as new spokesman

The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday announced the designation of Atty. Raphael Niccolo Martinez as its new spokesperson. 

According to the DOJ, Martinez has been with the department since 2025, initially serving as a prosecution attorney in the Office of the Prosecutor before joining the Office of the Secretary of Justice.

Prior to working at the department, he served as an associate at a private law firm from 2022 to 2024. 

He earned his law degree from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law.

Martinez replaced Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano, the new spokesperson of the Office of the Ombudsman, at the DOJ post. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
