The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Friday said the next scheduled hearing for the investigation into corruption on flood control projects is either on November 11 or November 12.

“Mayroon po kami naka-schedule. Right now, meron po kami mga nasa November 11 or 12,” ICI executive director Atty. Brian Hosaka told GMA Integrated News’ Unang Balita in an interview when asked about the next hearing.

(We have a scheduled hearing. Right now, we have a scheduled hearing for November 11 or 12.)

Hosaka said there is no scheduled hearing on flood control corruption next week due to the unavailability of one of the members of the Commission.

“Wala pa naman po kaming scheduled hearings next week dahil ang isa pong miyembro namin ay hindi po available,” Hosaka said.

(We don’t have any scheduled hearings next week because one of our members is unavailable.)

For the meantime, he said the ICI will draft rules as the Commission plans to livestream the proceedings.

“So we will take that time to be able to draft our guidelines and our rules and our procedures with regard to the hearings,” he added.

On Thursday, Hosaka said the ICI will first draft the rules of procedure and parameters before livestreaming its proceedings on the anomalous flood control projects.

"The ICI would need to study and draft the rules of procedure and parameters to allow for live streaming, taking into consideration sensitive information and the constitutional rights of invited resource persons,” Hosaka said, reading the statement of ICI chairman Andres Reyes Jr. —Joviland Rita/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
