Marcos tasks agencies to be ready for Undas 2025

GYEONGJU, South Korea — President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has directed concerned agencies to prepare for Undas 2025.

This was according to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro on Friday, saying that even if the President is not in the Philippines, he already gave instructions for the country's observance of All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day.

“Dapat lagi tayong handa. Nag-utos na po siya sa mga concerned government agencies at kinakailangan po na paghandaan ang paparating na Undas,” Castro said in a briefing in South Korea.

(We should always be ready. He already instructed concerned government agencies as we need to ensure that we are ready for Undas.)

She said even the prices of goods are being monitored to ease the burden of consumers from high price of commodities.

“Nakita po natin pati na ang presyo ng mga bilihin ay binabantayan na rin po para po mas maganda ang karanasan ng ating mga mamimili sa paparating na Undas at walang pagtaas ng presyo,” Castro said.

(Even the prices of goods are being monitored to ensure that there will be no price increase amid Undas.)

An influx of passengers and travelers was observed at bus terminals, seaports, and airports as the long weekend for Undas starts.

Castro said Marcos tasked the Philippine National Police to ensure peace and order amid the long weekend. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
