At least 16k people affected by Tino-related flight cancellations - NNIC
At least 16,000 passengers were affected by flight cancellations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Tino, according to the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC).
NNIC general manager Angelito Alvarez told Super Radyo dzBB that 138 flights to the following destinations were canceled:
• Cebu
• Caticlan
• Tagbilaran
• Roxas
• El Nido
• Bacolod
• Busuanga
• Puerto Princesa
• Iloilo
• Siargao
• Ozamiz
• Cagayan de Oro
• Tacloban
• Dipolog
• Butuan
• Cauayan, Isabela
Alvarez said affected passengers should coordinate with the airline about the new schedule of their trip.
Tino is currently affecting parts of Visayas and Luzon. The typhoon will leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility either Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/VBL, GMA Integrated News
