VP Sara Duterte: Let’s build a more compassionate PH
In commemoration of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday called on Filipinos to remain steadfast in their beliefs to help build a stronger and more compassionate country.
In a video statement, Duterte also encouraged the people to reflect on the spirit of resilience inspired by the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
She said that Mary’s strength and humility “guide us to uphold values that unite our nation.”
“Sa gitna ng mga sakuna, gulo sa pulitika, at sigalot sa lipunan, nawa'y ang selebrasyong ito ay mag-udyok sa atin na magtanim ng pag-asa, magbigay ng suporta sa isa't isa, at magtrabaho tungo sa pag-unlad,” Duterte said.
(Amid the disasters, political turmoil, and conflict in society, may this celebration inspire us to have hope, support one another, and work towards progress.)
“Let us remain steadfast in our beliefs, align our actions for the common good, and together build a stronger, more compassionate Philippines,” she added.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
