PNP acting chief Nartatez stresses integrity, discipline during New Year's Call
Philippine National Police (PNP) acting chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. reminded commanders to observe integrity and discipline during the New Year’s Call on Wednesday.
At a press briefing Thursday, PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño said Nartatez also said the police actions should be felt by the public.
“Binigyan niya ng stress, number one, yung integrity, and intensify the operations, at unang-una rin, disiplina na lahat ng miyembro ng PNP,” Tuaño said.
(He stressed, number one, integrity, and intensifying the operations, and first and foremost, discipline of all members of the PNP.)
“Sinasabi niya na lahat ng dapat ginagawa ng Philippine National Police, ito ay measurable, feasible, at ang pinakahuli, ang pinaka-importante, ito yung nararamdaman ng ating taumbayan,” he added.
(He says that everything the Philippine National Police should be doing, it is measurable, feasible, and last but not least, the most important, it was felt by the people.)
Aside from this, Tuaño said Nartatez reiterated the PNP focused agenda.
Nartatez tackled the expansion of strategic communications that enabled personnel to adapt quickly to emerging situations, align messaging, and reach millions of Filipinos through coordinated information campaigns.
He also reaffirmed PNP’s commitment to swift and credible investigation of cases.
Nartatez also discussed the full operationalization of the Unified 911 Emergency Response System.
The PNP official also underscored the importance of integrity monitoring within the police organization. — Joviland Rita/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
