Senate issues show cause order vs Zaldy Co, 5 others

The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee has sent out show cause orders to former Ako Bicol party-list representative Zaldy Co and five other individuals, following their failure to attend the resumption of the flood control hearing on Monday.

Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo "Ping" Lacson, chairman of the committee, said that aside from Co, show cause orders were issued to the following: 

• Commission on Audit Commissioner Mario Lipana
• Orly Guteza
• John Paul Estrada
• Mark Tecsay
• Virgilio Eduarte

“They’re given two days to respond to the show cause order,” Lacson said.

To recall, the Senate had issued subpoenas to several individuals in connection with the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee's hearing on anomalous flood control projects. — RF, GMA Integrated News
