Farmers file land-grabbing complaint vs. Harry Roque at NBI
Farmers from Bataan on Monday filed a land-grabbing complaint against various individuals, including former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) confirmed.
According to spokesperson Palmer Mallari, the NBI will first complete the written statements from the farmers.
He said the NBI will also obtain records from the Department of Agrarian Reform and the Registry of Deeds.
“Sa dulo na po ipapatawag si Attorney Roque,” he said.
[Attorney Roque will be called at the end of the proceedings.]
Roque, who is reportedly seeking asylum in the Netherlands, has yet to return to the country.
He is also facing qualified human trafficking charges in connection with the Lucky South 99 Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator firm.
