1 killed, 1 hurt in QC billiards hall shooting incident

MANILA, Philippines - One person was killed while another was wounded after an unidentified gunman shot them inside a billiards hall in Quezon City before dawn Friday. Radio dzBB reported that bystanders heard the gunman make a call on a cell phone and claim that the "job" was finished, fueling speculations the incident was a kill job. The incident occurred at 4 a.m. at the Alicia Eatery and Billiards Hall along Pinatubo Street in Cubao in Quezon City. Killed was Lawrence Anthony Jimenez, 27, of Mandaluyong City. Rushed to the Quirino Labor Hospital was Rino Balamban, 21, of San Juan City. Police are now trying to determine the motive of the killing, after interviewing witnesses who heard the gunman call someone and say, "Boss, tapos na (Boss, the job's done)." - GMANews.TV
