Marcos, FL Liza go on dinner date amid ill health rumors
President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos went out for dinner on Saturday, April 11, amid rumors of ill health.
The First Couple each posted on their social media photos of their dinner date at Finestra Restaurant at Solaire Resort Entertainment City in Parañaque.
"Took Liza out for a quiet dinner, just a bit of time away from the day. Along the way, we met a mother and daughter who came over for a quick hello and a short chat. Nice reminder of why the work we do matters. Finestra @ Solaire | 11 April 2026," Marcos posted on Facebook.
The First Lady posted this caption on her Facebook: "Sometimes it’s just nice to slow down and enjoy each other’s company. No noise. Just us. Finestra @ Solaire / 11 April 2026."
Malacañang on Monday assured the public that Marcos is well and in good condition amid talks suggesting the President is ill.
Marcos himself on Wednesday assured the public that he is in good health. Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro, in a video, asked the President about his health condition amid rumors that he is sick.
Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Dave Gomez said Thursday the surge of disinformation on social media, particularly about the health of Marcos, was meant to destabilize the government.
Meanwhile, the Malacañang Press Corps (MPC) on Sunday denounced allegations that its members are being paid to conceal the true health condition of Marcos and urged the public to practice discernment. —KG, GMA News
