Duterte allies launch RAGE Coalition for truth, accountability
Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte on Sunday led the launch of the Reform Alliance for Good Governance and Accountability (RAGE) Coalition at the Club Filipino, San Juan City.
According to the report of Super Radyo dzBB’s Luisito Santos, the Duterte family’s allies and supporters, such as Senators Christopher “Bong” Go and Robinhood Padilla, were also present at the launch.
Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Leviste, SAGIP Party-list Rep. Paolo Marcoleta, former Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez, and former Press Secretary Trixie Cruz Angeles also attended the event.
The coalition is described as a broad multi-sectoral alliance composed of various political parties, civic organizations, and grassroots movements united in the call for accountability and addressing the critical issues facing the country.
Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, who has been absent in the Senate since November 11, 2025, delivered an audio message.
“Taos puso kong sinusuportahan ang pagbuo ng RAGE Coalition. Isang pagkakaisa ng iba’t-ibang pwersa na handang tumindig para sa katotohanan, pananagutan, at kapakanan ng sambayanang Pilipino,” he said.
(I wholeheartedly support the formation of the RAGE Coalition. It is a unity of various forces ready to stand up for truth, accountability, and the welfare of the Filipino people.)
“Sa panahong ito, hindi na sapat ang kanya-kanyang laban. Kailangan natin ng isang tinig, iisang direksyon, at matibay na paninindigan laban sa katiwalian, pang-aabuso, at mga hakbang na naglalayong patahimikin ang oposisyon,” said dela Rosa.
(In these times, fighting individual battles is no longer enough. We need one voice, one direction, and a firm stand against corruption, abuse, and moves aimed at silencing the opposition.)
Dela Rosa also reaffirmed his support for Vice President Sara Duterte: “Patuloy akong sumusuporta kay VP Inday Sara Duterte na patuloy na patuloy na nagsisilbi sa ating bansa, sa kabila ng mga hamon at pagsubok na kanyang kinakaharap.”
(I continue to support VP Inday Sara Duterte, who continues to serve our country despite the challenges and trials she is facing.)
“Hindi tayo papayag na gamitin ang politika para patahimikin ang mga lider na tunay naglilingkod sa bayan,” he added.
(We will not let politics be used to silence leaders who truly care for our country.)
Dela Rosa missed 31 plenary sessions from July 28, 2025 to March 18, 2026, making him the senator with the most absences based on the Senate’s attendance sheet.
This means he only attended 27 out of 58 sessions during this period. Dela Rosa is facing an ethics complaint over his prolonged absence in the Senate.
His absences began after Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla alleged that the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued a warrant of arrest against him over the war on illegal drugs of former President Rodrigo Duterte. — JMA, GMA News
