Typhoon 'Enteng' weakens as it moves away from RP


MANILA, Philippines - Typhoon "Enteng" (Nakri) slightly weakened and accelerated away from Philippine territory as of Saturday morning, state weather forecasters said. In its 11 a.m. advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that as of 10 a.m., "Enteng" was 1,010 kilometers (km) east of Northern Luzon. "Enteng" packed maximum sustained winds of 165 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 200 kph, and was moving north at 15 kph. By Sunday morning, it is expected to be 1,070 km east-northeast of Northern Luzon. By Monday morning it will be 1,310 km northeast of Northern Luzon or 630 km east-southeast of Okinawa, Japan. No public storm warning signals were raised. "Enteng" is too far to affect any part of the country, according to Pagasa. - GMANews.TV
