Embattled contractor Pacifico "Curlee" Discaya II is back in Senate detention on Thursday, a week after he was brought to a hospital to undergo surgery on his shoulder.
"Nakabalik na kanina umaga si Mr. Discaya sa Senate," said Senate Secretary Mark Llandro “Dong” Mendoza.
(He returned to the Senate earlier.)
"He is okay and was cleared by his doctors to continue his recovery sa Senate," Mendoza added.

The controversial contractor was temporarily taken out of Senate detention last week after requesting to undergo a medical procedure on his right shoulder and was allowed to do so.
Discaya has been detained at the Senate since September 2025, after being cited for contempt by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee during one of the hearings on the anomalous flood control project. —VAL, GMA News
