6 PNP ranking officials get new posts in latest reshuffle
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said its six senior officials have been reassigned to key posts under a fresh reorganization aimed at streamlining leadership across regional and national units.
PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño confirmed to GMA News Online that PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. signed an order dated for these movements.
Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) director Brigadier General Dindo Reyes was designated acting head of the Directorate for Comptrollership.
Reyes will replace Major General Westrimundo Obinque, who is set to retire on May 9 upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56.
In his new post, Reyes will oversee the management and administration of the police force’s financial resources.
Police Regional Office 4B (PRO 4B) director Police Brigadier General Jovencio Badua has been named to take over PRO 1, replacing Reyes.
Northern Police District (NPD) chief Brigadier General Christopher dela Cruz will assume Badua’s post in PRO 4B.
Also, Directorate for Education and Training (DET) deputy director Police Brigadier General Benliner Capili has been appointed head of the NPD.
Police Brigadier General Arnold Ibay, who currently leads the Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO NIR), will replace Capili as DET chief.
Meanwhile, Police Brigadier General Romano Cardiño has been designated as acting director of PRO NIR.
