No info yet on alleged Cabinet revamp —Palace
Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said Tuesday there is no information yet whether there will be changes in the Cabinet under the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“Sa ngayon po ay wala pa rin pong ipinapaabot sa atin na update. Pero kapag mayroon ibibigay ko po agad sa inyo,” Castro told reporters in a press conference.
(Right now, we haven't received any updates. But if there is, I will give it to you immediately.)
Asked if Marcos’ trust and confidence in his Cabinet secretaries are still intact despite everything happening, she simply said “yes.”
Castro also did not give a categorical answer whether former Interior and Local Government secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. will be given a Cabinet position anew.
Rumors of a Cabinet revamp floated after the alleged resignation of Henry Aguda as chief of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
But Aguda denied the claims, which he described as “false reports and speculations.”
“As with all members of the Cabinet, I continue to serve at the pleasure of the President and remain fully committed to carrying out the mandate entrusted to me by the administration,” Aguda said in a statement. —AOL, GMA News
