Marcos visits first public hospital in Clark Freeport Zone

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Thursday inspected the Pampanga Provincial Hospital-Clark (PPHC), the first-ever public hospital in Clark Freeport Zone.

The PPHC – a three-story government healthcare facility located in Clark Global City – has a total bed capacity of 143. It has 110 ward beds, 17 private rooms, and 16 semi-private rooms.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the hospital is expected to serve residents of Pampanga and over 151,500 employees, business locators, and investors within the Clark Freeport Zone.

It will also generate around 400 job opportunities once it becomes fully operational.

The hospital also features modern medical technology and advanced diagnostic equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scan units, endoscopy systems, and mammogram equipment.

Likewise, it offers clinical services such as Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYNE), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), alongside ancillary services such as radiology, laboratory, pulmonary, cardiovascular, dental, and dietary services.

“During the visit, the President toured the hospital facilities, including the operation room and intensive care units (ICU), and was briefed by PPHC’s surgeon, Dr. Filfernan Malto,” the PCO said in a press release.

The hospital also has an ongoing application for accreditation as a Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) facility – a primary care program of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). — JMA, GMA News
