PMA welcomes 367 new cadets under Class 2030

The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) formally welcomed its newest batch of cadets after conducting oath-taking and reception rites for 367 incoming cadets under Class 2030.

In a statement over the weekend, the PMA said the class is composed of 290 males and 77 females.

The incoming cadets were received by their Second Class Cadet Squad Leaders from the PMA “Siklab Kasilag Class of 2028.

According to PMA, the Class 2030 members were selected from 33,640 applicants nationwide. Of those, only 1,436 passed the entrance examination and qualified for admission.

The largest share of incoming cadets came from the Cordillera Administrative Region with 12%, followed by the National Capital Region and Region IV-A with 11% each.

Upon entry, the cadets will undergo the aca—demy’s enhanced Bachelor of Science in Management major in Security Studies program, covering modern warfare, leadership roles, and territorial defense operations.

“Having answered the call to serve, these incoming cadets now begin their transformation into future leaders of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,” the PMA said.
