DOTr mourns passing of Usec. Ramon Reyes

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Tuesday confirmed the death of Undersecretary for Road Transport and Non-Infrastructure Ramon Reyes.

“Since joining the DOTr in 2025, Usec. Reyes served with unwavering commitment, compassion, and integrity, championing programs and policies aimed at uplifting the transport sector and improving the lives of Filipino commuters,” the department said.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched through his years of public service.”

The DOTr, however, did not mention Reyes’ cause of death.

Reyes was sworn into office last February 2025 following the shakeup within the department.

He also chaired the special committee created to review the government’s public transportation modernization program. — BAP, GMA News
