PNP proposes increasing police clearance fee to P200
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said it is proposing to increase the national police clearance fee from P150 to P200, citing inflation and rising operational costs.
In a public advisory, the PNP said the police organization “proposes an adjustment in the National Police Clearance fee from P150 to P170, citing inflation, rising operational costs, and P30 Documentary Stamp Tax compliance.”
In an infographic, the PNP said P20 will be added for “inflation adjustment.”
The increase is also proposed to comply with DST requirements mandated by law, according to the police organization.
A chart included in the PNP’s infographic showed inflation rates rising from 2.5% in 2019 to a peak of 5.8% in 2022 before easing to 3.0% in 2025.
The PNP said the proposed increase aims to ensure “sustainable and efficient police clearance services.” — BAP, GMA News
