Marcos urges INC to be 'steadfast partner in nation-building'

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday urged members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) to remain "steadfast partners in nation-building" as the religious group marked its 112th anniversary.

In a statement, Marcos said the INC’s enduring work serves as a reminder that “a life rooted in devotion and integrity helps reinforce the moral foundation of society.”

“As you gather in thanksgiving, may this milestone deepen your commitment to translating your beliefs into meaningful acts that uplift those in need, comfort the weary, and foster harmony wherever you serve,” he said.

“In this spirit, I encourage every member of the INC to remain a steadfast partner in nation-building, where faith is demonstrated through service and citizenship is expressed through genuine concern for others,” he added.

Marcos also said the government stands in solidarity with organizations that strengthen families, promote peace, and foster compassion across the country.

“May this celebration also inspire renewed reflection on your calling as we continue building the pillars of our Bagong Pilipinas,” the President said. — MCG, GMA News
