Over 9,300 people affected by Tropical Depression Luis, enhanced Habagat

More than 9,300 people have been affected by Tropical Depression Luis and the enhanced southwest monsoon or Habagat, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

In its latest situational report issued at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, the OCD said a total of 9,381 individuals or 7,701 families were affected in Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Of the affected population, 3,682 individuals or 1,212 families were staying in evacuation centers.

The OCD said no deaths, injuries, or missing persons had been reported as of the latest update.

The agency said a total of P1,211,212 worth of assistance had been provided to affected residents.

Meanwhile, 18 areas in Regions Ilocos Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in MuslimMindanao (BARMM) remained flooded.

The OCD reported that 398 barangays in Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Mimaropa have been identified as susceptible to rain-induced landslides and flooding.

No damage to infrastructure or agriculture has been reported so far, according to the agency.
