Marcos has standing order to have Bato dela Rosa arrested —Palace
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has issued a standing order to have Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa arrested, Palace Press Officer Usec. Claire Castro said Thursday.
“Yes, still, there is,” Castro said Thursday when asked if Marcos has a standing order to arrest Dela Rosa.
The ICC based in The Hague earlier issued a warrant of arrest for Dela Rosa in connection with the crimes against humanity case against former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Rumors circulated earlier this week that Dela Rosa was already nabbed, but the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said they have "no information" about such.
Castro said that the operations of concerned government agencies continue regarding the matter.
“Hahayaan po natin ang DOJ at ang DILG na siyang sumagot po diyan dahil sila ang nakakalam kung anong operasyon ang kinakailangan para po mabilis na maaresto si Senator Bato Dela Rosa,” Castro said when asked what the bottlenecks are in having the senator arrested.
(We will leave it to the DOJ and the DILG to answer that, as they are the ones who know what operations are needed to immediately arrest Senator Bato Dela Rosa.)
